I realize some of these questions may be redundant, but this is a support forum so I'll ask anyway.
I have the cs-102 in my setup and it is currently running with the RIO 600RVT attached.
I have 2 Quiet ones pumping about about 5Ft head pressure into the tank. It seems as though this overflow may be slightly over driven. I estimate about 1200GPH into the tank. With the fish screen in place the overflow cannot keep up. With the fish screen removed the water level is about 1" above the overflow so there is no surface skimming.
Is this about what is expected, what do I need to do to bring the water level back down?

| The CS102 max flow rate is 1200 gph. This is the most amount of water that can be flowed through the two bulkheads. The fish screen, pre-filter sponges and the slip screen inside the bulkhead are all limiting factors. This is why you see a difference when the fish screen is removed. You can either slow daown the flow rate from the return pump with a ball valve or remove the sponge and/or the slip screen in the back of the overflow box and the water level will go lower. |
