Some users have complained about performance of their Aqualifter pump after being in use on their tank for varying periods of time. The Aqualifter pump is a vacuum pump which utilizes a diaphragm and over time, the diaphragm will wear and can become weaker. Like all equipment, for optimal performance, the Aqualifter should be cleaned and checked regularly (see inlcuded instructions).

Replacement diaphragms are available online and at your local retailers and typically will cost between $2 and $5.
