ANNOUNCING NEW PUMP FOR BAK-PAK MODELS

CPR is pleased to announce an exciting new enhancement to our popular Bak-Pak protein skimmer line.

The new Accela pump is similar to the Maxi-jet 1200, however, it includes some important added benefits. The pump has been modified to include a venturi intake which efficiently draws in more air with less restriction on the pump. This results in more effective protein skimming with a significantly increased "sweet spot" for skimmer operation.

BAK-PAK™ 2 Bio-Filter

The BAK-PAK™2 Bio-Filter is the second generation external, hang on the back, combination Protein Skimmer and Biological Filtration unit from CPR. The BAK-PAK™ 2, like the original, is designed for tank sizes up to 60 gallons. Water first enters the Protein Skimmer column from the aquarium and then flows through the biological chamber filled with Bio-Bale™ filtration media before returning to the aquarium.

The Protein Skimmer is driven by a rejuvenation venturi powerhead. Bubble dwell time is increased by the counter-current flow in the skimmer column. The quality of the foam collected can be controlled by raising and lowering the collection cup.

To set up the BAK-PAK™ 2, hang the unit behind the aquarium and plug it in -- that's it. New improved design incorporates an easy to clean intake tube and an enclosed, directional outflow to reduce salt splash and micro-bubbles entering into tank. The new design also uses a smoke colored break-resistant collection cup.

BAK-PAK™ 2R+

CPR also offers a hang-on skimmer designed for reefkeepers, the BAK-PAK™ 2R+. This skimmer is designed for use on reef tanks where biological filtration is not necessary, but still incorporates all of the other features that have made the BAK-PAK™ line of skimmers so popular.

The "Tri Chamber" design of the BAK-PAK™ 2R+ takes the place of the biological section, and when combined with a new and improved outlet design, provides an effective way to reduce bubbles caused by system imbalances.

  • Incorporates CPR's proven high performance rejuvenation protein skimmer.
  • No need to purchase an overflow or return pump, the BAK-PAK™ 2R+ simply hangs on the back of your tank.
  • Use on tanks utilizing the Berlin or Jaubert Method, where supplemental biological filtration is not desired.
  • Easy to setup, easy to use, easy to clean.
  • For tanks up to 60 gallons. For larger tanks use the BAK-PAK™ Dual Pak.

The BAK-PAK™ 2R+ can also make use of the accessories available for the BAK-PAK™ 2 (with the exception of the BPBT).

    BAK-PAK™ Dual Pak

CPR has taken the proven technology behind the BAK-PAK™ 2, and created the larger BAK-PAK™ Dual Pak.

The Dual Pak provides a complete hang-on filtration unit for tanks up to 100 gallons that incorporates two protein skimmers with a biological filtration chamber in the middle.

Using proven Rejuvenation Venturi technology, the protein skimmers are flooded with bubbles for constant removal of excess organics.

The biological chamber utilizes CPR's Bio-Bale™ biological filter media to provide maximum surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize.

Simply hang on BAK-PAK™ Dual Pak on the back of an aquarium, plug in the rejuvenation venturi powerheads, and enjoy a worry-free operation!
